  • In the context of the European Year of Active Ageing and Intergenerational Cooperation in 2012 and with respect to the objectives of Europe 2020, the Symposium Centrope took place on September 26^th in 2012.
  • The symposium focused on the essential issues and problems of businesses and public institutions that arise in the context of an aging population.
  • The symposium was held under the auspices of the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.
  • Central European region Centrope was founded in 2003 as a joint initiative of twelve cities and the neighbouring regions of the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Most of the projects are funded by the European Union, from the Operational Programme European Territorial Cooperation – Central Europe.
